Safety Technology
Tesla touts safety in marketing the Model S, but it lacks all modern safety technology. Yes, the Model S has an extremely sturdy cage and it does very well in crash tests, but it is, in truth, an unguided missile, as it fails to provide the advanced safety technology.
The Cadillac ELR, on the other hand, offers:
- Forward Collision Alert – An advanced radar system warns you if you’re closing too fast on the vehicle in front of you.
- Automatic Collision Preparation – The system gets the brakes charged and ready
- Lane Departure Warning System – The driver’s bucket seat warns when you cross the lines.
- Blindspot Mirrors – Is there someone creeping up behind you in the other lanes? The ELR’s mirrors will let you know.
- Front and Rear Park Assist – Getting too close? beep beep beep
