Looking for the highest fuel economy (HFE) in a full-size gasoline-powered pickup? The Ram HFE delivers 25 MPG highway. Fuel efficiency technology includes stop/start, active grille shutters, an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission and a tri-fold tonneau cover. The 2014 Ram EcoDiesel takes it up a notch and marks the first appearance of a diesel engine in a half ton pickup truck from the Big Three for decades. The EcoDiesel pumps out 420 pound-feet of torque, is rated at a segment-topping 28 MPG highway (2WD) with a 9,200 pound max towing capacity, and can run on biodiesel blends up to B20 (20% biodiesel). Availability includes the Tradesman, SLT, Outdoorsman, Big Horn, Laramie, Laramie Longhorn, and Laramie Limited. The Ram 1500 was revamped in the 2013 model year and is built in Warren, Michigan.
