The midsize front-wheel-drive (FWD) Ford Fusion Hybrid sedan is the most fuel-efficient gasoline-powered vehicle in Ford’s 2012 lineup with fuel mileage ratings of 41 city / 36 highway / 39 combined. The Fusion Hybrid is fitted with a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle four cylinder engine, CVT transmission and hybrid drivetrain. The new 2013 Fusion Hybrid and C-Max Hybrid take a big jump up with ratings of 47 city / 47 highway / 47 combined. We recently participated in the 2013 Ford C-Max Energi Plug-In Hybrid first drive event in San Francisco, and took the innovative vehicle for a hours-long test drive to Point Reyes Park and along the Pacific Coast Highway. With 21 miles of pure electric driving range, the C-Max Energi can provide gasoline-free commutes for folks with a relatively short trip to work.
The subcompact Fiesta SFE tops the charts of Ford’s conventionally-powered offerings, with ratings of 29 city / 40 highway / 33 combined, with the non-SFE Fiestas sharing the same 33 MPG highway rating.
