V6 2WD: 16 City / 19 Combined / 22 Highway

As the midsize pickup truck field thinned over the years, the Frontier soldiered on. The 2.5-liter inline four produces 152 horsepower (HP) and 171 pound feet of torque, while the V6 produces 261 HP and 281 pound feet of torque. Nissan is looking to shake things up, with a DieselRunner concept (shown above) hitting the auto 2014 auto show circuit. The DieselRunner features a 2.8-liter Cummins turbodiesel engine mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. The Frontier had its last major revamp in 2004, with a facelift in 2009. The truck is built in Smyrna, Tennessee.
