From the moment I turned the key on our Performance Red 2009 Pontiac G6 review car, I knew it wasn’t going to be as bland as the unenlightened might lead you to believe. While only equipped with the base four-cylinder engine, our G6 aced the week long test drive, with an admirable combination of acceleration, fuel economy, and just plain driveability.

The GT is fitted with a 3.5 liter V6 that produces 219 HP and 219 foot pounds of torque, while the GXP is equipped with a 3.6 liter V6 that delivers 251 HP and 252 foot pounds of torque.
