I own a 1993 cadillac seville STS and the meter to the left of the dash claims it gets 19-20 m.p.g. Yet, when I bought the car I filled it up and hit the button to record the miles so when I fill up again I would see what it really gets. I have the tank 1/4 full and the meter says that I have gone 183 miles. My car has a 20 gallon gas tank. So after the calculations I figured 183/3=61 61/5=10.2 . So does my car really get 10.2 mpg because the meter on the side that gives my my average mpg never falls below 15 on a bad day with alot of stops in town. Is this normal??????

The STS 4.6 liter gives me around 32 miles to the gallon between 60 and 75 MPH. Unbeleivable but true. The 2005 STS 8 cyl got better gas mileage than the 2006 STS 6 cyl...... Not even close
