I've been having a similar issue with the gas mileage. I have an 03 sentra but its a 1.8. It threw a code and the check engine light went on it is a fuel management problem. And I haven't figured it out yet. But I will.

My 2003 GXE 5-speed gets 35-41 mpg on the highway, depending on if I drive 70 or 80 mph on said highway. Great mileage and I never have to downshift out of 5th to pass cars.

I have a 1999 Sentra, and get 42 mpg on trips and 38 around town. It has 145,000 miles on it, so I know it won't last too much longer. I am definitely considering buying another one!

I owned a 1982 Sentra Mpg 5 speed Model. It was supposed to get 50 mpg city and 61.5 hwy. and that is just what it did. On TV advertisements today auto manufactures brag about 20 mpg and they don't say if that is hwy or city so I can only assume that is Hwy. My 1988 chevy celebrity 6 cylinder which is not running properly gets 24 mpg in town.

I have a 2003 2.5 sentra and my gas mileage sucks! I have taken it to several mechanics and they can't figure out why. I am lucky if 20mpg hwy!! If anyone has had this issue and has been able to fix it please do tell!
